Executive Vice President

David Stewart joined Summit in 2021, bringing more than 25 years of extensive experience and professional achievements. He has a strong background in the insurance and financial services industry, with a focus on leadership, development, and financial sales.  As Executive Vice President, David plays a strategic role in recruiting exceptional talent and propelling growth across all divisions. His approach equips the team to increase their effectiveness by helping clients get to a better place than they were before. 

David graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Accounting. His career began in large corporations such as New York Life Insurance Company, State Farm, and Allstate, where he held various roles including leadership and development, financial sales, and senior partner positions. 

David has earned multiple professional designations and educational background further emphasize his expertise and commitment to the field, from the American College of Financial Services, including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL), and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP). He is also a life member of the Stephen F. Austin State University Alumni Association.
