Randy Gowdy

President

One of Summit’s original founders, Randy Gowdy has spent his career engineering integrated risk management and human resource plans for companies and organizations across virtually every public and private sector. Clients trust Randy’s deep knowledge and experience and rely on him to advise them on risk management, human resource, and insurance solutions that bring out understanding, efficiency, and peace of mind.

Randy holds several professional designations, including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU®), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC®), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). He is also a member of the US Army Reserves.

In addition to his professional achievements, Randy is actively involved in various civic, professional, and community organizations. He has been a member of the Dallas Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, National Association of Health Underwriters, Texas Association of Health Underwriters, International Foundation of Employee Benefits, Self-Insured Institute of America, Professional Insurance Agents, National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research, the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, and a member of Leadership Greater Hartford.

Randy has also served in several leadership roles, including as chairman of the Hartford Goodwill Industries’ Business Advisory Council, board member of Springfield Goodwill Industries, and chairman of the Bios Client Advocacy and Advisory Board and Human Rights Committee. He has been involved with the Connecticut Community Bankers Association, a past board member of Leadership Greater Hartford, and has coached youth and high school teams. Additionally, he was a partner of Social Venture Partners Dallas.
